Barrie man killed in single-vehicle crash in French River

Vehicle crossed lanes and struck a rock cut

Police in French River are investigating a collision that claimed the life of a Barrie man.

The Nipissing West OPP says a pickup truck was travelling northbound on Highway 69 when it crossed the centre median, shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle passed over southbound lanes before colliding with a rock-cut.

The driver of the truck, the only occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced deceased on scene. He has been identified as 43-year-old Craig Bagshaw of Barrie.

Police continue to investigate this fatal collision.
