The Nutrafarms Inc Assisting You Social Bombers, of the Barrie Minor Lacrosse Association, are the 2022 Girls U15 “A” Provincial Champions.

The girls are the first Barrie team to win an “A” Provincial Championship.

Goaltender Morgan Lowe recorded her third shut-out of Provincials as the Bombers downed Nepean 3-0 in the championship game.

Willow Davidson’s goal at 6:51 of the first period, her second game-winner of the tournament, was all the Bombers needed, with Ryley Black and Jorja Whalen adding goals to put the Knights away.

Whalen led the Bombers in goals with 11 including all four Bomber goals against Peterborough on Tuesday. Black led the team in assists. Carleigh Hill and Nadia White also recorded game winners for Barrie.

Kylie Kumm, Zoey Maseko, Amelia Zealand, Kady Shelswell, and Annika Crouter contributed points in the tournament.

Teegan Setterfeld led an amazing defensive effort that included strong work from Alyssa Glass, Emma Coughlin, Alexis Brubacher, and Kelsey Brubacher.

The team would like to thank Trainer Jay Zealand, Coach Darryl Black, and Coach Jim Lowe.

This is an incredible accomplishment not just for girls' box lacrosse, but for all of Barrie lacrosse.
