Barrie police seized fentanyl and crystal meth when they arrested a 41-year-old man of no fixed address on Thursday night. Police say they also seized Canadian currency.

This was part of an ongoing investigation that wrapped up early Friday with a search warrant being executed and the seizure of a semi-automatic shotgun and ammunition.

The suspect is facing possession and trafficking charges related to the drugs.

The accused, who has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie is facing a total of eight Criminal Code and CDSA charges.
