Barrie police are investigating an overnight mischief that occurred at a home located in the Codrington Street and Nelson street area on Thursday.

Police say the homeowner woke up to the sound of their bedroom window breaking after a brick was thrown at it.

"Police responded and did not locate anyone on or nearby the property. No witnesses or video surveillance was found in order to identify the person(s) responsible," said Barrie Police communications coordinator in a news release on Friday.

Officials remind the public that if at at any time they see a person, multiple people or motor vehicle in an area they should not be, to call police immediately.
