The Barrie Police Service is proud to announce the launch of a new online interface for promptly and securely reporting non-emergency crimes. It will make it even easier to report non-emergency crimes such as property theft, vandalism, and fraud, among others.

Developed in partnership with Rubicon, a Canadian Public Safety Technology company, the new BPS Online Reporting provides the convenience of reporting non-emergency incidents directly via smartphone or computer. This digital initiative aims to optimize data for interoperability and actionable insights, streamlining workflows to allow frontline officers to focus on emergency responses and high-priority cases.

How to Use Online Reporting:

Residents can easily navigate the reporting process in three simple steps:

1. Select Incident Type: Choose the relevant category for the incident.

2. Fill Out the Report: Provide necessary details about the incident.

3. Submit & Receive Confirmation: Obtain an email confirmation of your report, with follow-ups as needed.

The Barrie Police Service encourages the community to use Online Reporting for non-emergency incidents. This collaborative approach between BPS and its residents is crucial in building a safer, more secure community.

For emergencies, please call 911.
