Barrie road closures to keep in mind on Saturday for Santa parade, tree-lighting

Most of the road closures will impact portions of downtown and Lakeshore Drive

The City of Barrie, Barrie Chambers of Commerce & Downtown Barrie BIA require a Full Road Closure on various roads on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at various times, for The Barrie Santa Claus Parade & Noella Tree Lighting Celebration. Please find below the road closures, times, & detour.

  • Full Road Closure on Dunlop Street between Toronto Street and Sampson Street from 6:00AM – 9:00PM *Intersecting Roads of Dunlop Street will be open until 5:00PM for Parade arrival.*
  • Full Road Closure on Lakeshore Drive between Minet’s Point to Tiffin Street from 1:00PM – 7:00PM
  • Full Road Closure on Lakeshore Drive between Tiffin Street to Victoria Street from 4:00PM – 7:00PM
  • Full Road Closure on Victoria Street between Lakeshore Drive to Bradford Street 4:00PM- 7:00PM
  • Full Road Closure on Tiffin Street between Essa Road and Lakeshore Drive from 4:00PM – 7:00PM
  • Full Road Closure on Bradford Street between Tiffin Street – Dunlop Street from 4:00PM – 7:00PM
  • Full Road Closure on Dunlop Street between Bradford Street and Toronto Street 4:00PM – 7:00PM
  • Full Road Closure on Simcoe Street between Bayfield Street to Dunlop Street: 5:00PM – 9:00PM

                        Detour route in effect:

                              Blake Street – Collier Street – Bayfield Street – Ross Street – Wellington Street – Eccles Street – Innisfil Street – Essa Road – Burton Ave – Yonge Street – Little Ave – Hurst Road
