Barrie woman among two charged with impaired driving following Muskoka collisions

In separate incidents, Bracebridge OPP have charged two drivers with impaired driving following single-vehicle collisions.

First, on March 5, officers responded to a report of a crash on Highway 11 South near Taylor Road in Bracebridge at 7:10 p.m. Officers arrested a 26-year-old man from Baysville, charging him with impaired driving and refusal to comply with demand.

He has a court date set for April 14.

Then, on Monday, police say they were sent to a collision on Sparrow Lake Route D in Gravenhurst where a pickup truck had crashed through a ditch and ended up on the lawn of a nearby home.

Upon investigation, a 36-year-old woman from Barrie was arrested and charged wit impaired driving above the legal blood alcohol content limit.

She is set to appear in court in Bracebridge on April 21.
