It's almost showtime! Production has wrapped up on the Beetlejuice sequel.
Director Tim Burton posted a picture on social media showing him on set, with the simple caption, "Just finished shooting Beetlejuice. Thank you to everyone involved."
The sequel to the 1988 film sees the return of Michael Keeton as our bio-exorcist from the Netherworld.
Keaton is thrilled to put on the striped suit again. In a June interview with Empire, he explained, "Beetlejuice is the most f*^@! n' fun you can have working. "It's so fun, it's so great. And you know what it is? We're doing it exactly like we did the first movie. There's a woman in the great waiting room for the afterlife literally with a fishing line — I want people to know this because I love it — tugging on the tail of a cat to make it move."
He's joined by other original cast mates, including Winona Ryder and Catherine O'Hara as Olivia's and Delia Deets.
Newcomers include Jenna Ortega, Willem Dafoe, Monica Bellucci and Justin Theroux.
The film had luck navigating the now-settled Hollywood writers' and actors' strikes.
The film was already written when writers hit the picket lines, and it only had a day and a half left of shooting before the actor's strike began.
You can venture someplace scary again on September 6, when Beetlejuice 2 hits theatres.
