You're encouraged to donate to an animal shelter on Betty White's Birthday

In honour of the late Betty White, you're encouraged to donate to a cause near and dear to her heart.

The #BettyWhiteChallenge asks people to donate $5 or more to their local animal shelter on January 17th.

That would have been the actress's 100th birthday.

White was a long-time advocate for animal causes.

A tweet issuing the challenge first appeared on Sunday and has gone viral.

Rescue groups are asking people to donate to their local shelters.

Judge in "Nirvana Baby" case dismisses lawsuit

A judge has dismissed the Nirvana baby lawsuit after the baby on the album cover sued the band.

Last year, 30-year-old Spencer Elden went after the band and several other people involved with their 1991 "Nevermind" album.

Elden was a few months old when his image was taken for the front cover, showing him naked in a swimming pool.

Elden claimes the nude picture was child abuse and used without his consent.

Surviving members of Nirvana, Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, along with others named in the lawsuit, filed a motion in December to dismiss.

Lawyers stated Elden had "spent three decades profiting from his celebrity as the self-anointed 'Nirvana Baby' "

The judge threw the case out because Elden missed his deadline to file an opposition to the motion to dismiss.

However, he still has the option to resubmit his lawsuit by January 13th.

So this might not be over.

Woman stops selling her farts after heart attack scare

There's no such thing as easy money.

After a heart attack scare, the 90-day fiance star who began selling her farts has had to pull the plug on her business.

Late last year, Stephanie Matto revealed she made loads of cash by selling her farts in a jar, claiming to make $50 thousand a week.

However, last week the reality star was rushed to hospital with chest pains.

After several tests, Matto was told her gas-inducing diet was to blame for her chest pains.

In a previous video, she revealed her diet of beans, eggs, yogurt, and protein smoothies.

She says doctors advised her to change he diet and take a gas suppressant medication, effectively ending her venture.

But she has caught a second wind and plans to sell NFT fart jars.
