At the request of her fans, to mark the occasion, she's hitting the road with a stop in Barrie at "The Rec Room" on July 27.
Barrie 360 had a chance to grab a few words with her between her busy work schedule and walking her dog.
Twenty-five years after creating "I Bificus," she still gushes about the experience.
"It was the first time I went into a big fancy studio, 'The Armoury Studios,' a legendary studio in Vancouver, working with a big fancy record label, Sony 550."
"They sent us a producer named Glenn Rosenstein," she remembers, "Glenn worked with Samantha Fox. And I was flipping out because we were all big fans of Samantha Fox. And it was just the most magical experience."
The album became a hit, with her song "Lucky" being featured on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," and "Spaceman" was a radio hit in Canada, Germany and the UK.
"I think from that point forward, I had a lot of freedom to make records with songs I wanted to sing." She explains.
"It catapulted me into a position of power as a woman in the music industry and as a female songwriter. Liz Phair was around the same time too, so it was really powerful."
Since "I Bificus," she's continued to make music but found additional ways to use her voice through poetry, dance and advocacy.
In 2017 she released her memoir "I Bificus," where she wrote about her early life and passion for advocacy and humanitarian work.
Fast forward to today; in addition to touring, she's filming a documentary titled "Bif Naked: One of a Kind."

It will cover her long-spanning career, activism, and personal challenges, including her 2007 breast cancer diagnosis.
"We have all been through a lot, and I always maintain that everybody has a story," she explains.
"The older we get, the more we all go through, whether it is the loss of our parents, a health crisis, or divorce. It's so much to live a life, making it all more relatable to one another. "
"Bif Naked: One of a Kind" has been in the works for three years, and she hopes for a 2024 premiere date.
"Because I'm a proud little Canadian, I want the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) to be the premiere, so that's what we're shooting for."
Bif Naked's Barrie show takes place at the Rec Room tonight ( July 27) which she says will be a great time.
"I think everyone will experience a night of pure rock'n'roll and sheer fun, and I'm so excited to be coming back. I can't wait to see everyone and my sister's coming too! So, it's going to be a really memorable show."
