Black Lives Matter protest in Barrie on Saturday
More than 1,000 people attended a protest on Thursday
There will be another demonstration in Barrie Saturday in response to the death of American George Floyd.
Organized by Black Lives Matter, the protest and march will begin at City Hall at 2 p.m. and then head along Mulcaster and Simcoe Streets to Meridian Place to hear speeches from people who have experienced racism.
More than 1,000 people jammed the waterfront for a Justice for Black Lives event on Thursday.
There will also be several Black Lives Matter demonstrations today in Toronto, including at Yonge and Dundas Square.
