More charges have been laid by police against a 35-year-old Orillia man following multiple bomb threats at the Orillia City Centre.

As well, there was a joint investigation between South Simcoe Police and Rama Police Service, as similar incidents were being investigated in their jurisdictions.

These incidents happened between January 25, 2022, and May 20, 2022, and were associated to a number of different locations. No explosive devices were found.

As a result of the joint forces operation, the suspect has now been saddled with additional charges including three counts of public mischief and three counts of false information.

The accused remains in custody and his next court date is scheduled for June 15, 2022.
