Bracebridge OPP was conducting speed enforcement on Highway 11 northbound Thursday night when a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed was observed.
Officers initiated a traffic stop, near North Kahshe Lake Road in Gravenhurst. While coming to a stop, police say the driver and a passenger traded positions in the vehicle.
There was no pulling the wool over the eyes of the police.
After a chat with the occupants, a 20-year-old London man was arrested and charged with impaired by drug, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime, and a pair of drug-related offences involving cocaine and opioids.
The suspect has a court date in Bracebridge on January 25, 2022.
