Bradford Company Held Responsible For Worker’s Fall
Company Fined $110,000 After Employee Suffers Permanent Wounds
A Bradford-based business is facing a hefty fine over a worker’s injuries at a Toronto job site.
The Ministry of Labour says GMJ Electric Inc failed to ensure a worker was being safe and neglected to provide scaffolding, leading to severe injuries.
The worker fell from a 10-foot ladder while installing ceiling wiring at a Toronto office building under construction, back in May of 2016. He suffered permanent injury in the fall.
Following a trial, the company was fined $110,000.
