Bradford mother facing abduction charges following a court order-violating trip to Europe
Woman arrested at Pearson Airport Wednesday
A woman is facing abduction-related charges after polic say a mother took her child to Europe without clearing it first.
South Simcoe Police were contacted by a Barrie father in late September with reports he hadn’t heard from his ex-wife in several weeks, making her overdue to exchange custody of their child. A police investigation alleges the woman took their child from her Bradford home and flew to Europe, contravening a court ordered custody agreement.
On November 11, officers with the South Simcoe Police went to Pearson Internation Airport to locate the mother and their child. The boy was said to be in good health and was turned over to the custody of his father. The mother was arrested and charged.
