Brampton man cuffed after a fail to remain crash in Innisfil Monday morning

Police say suspect fled the crash on foot, found nearby

It didn’t take long for South Simcoe Police to collar a hit-and-run suspect.

Investigators say a westbound vehicle ran a stop sign at Sideroad 10 and the 4th Line around 12:30 Monday morning and struck a southbound vehicle. The driver of the westbound car is accused of fleeing the scene on foot, but police say a suspect was located not long after.

A 21-year-old Brampton man faces charges including careless driving, driving while under suspension, and fail to remain. He and a passenger were released at the scene and police reported no injuries as a result of the crash.
