Brampton man turned himself in to face sexual assault charges after incident involving teens in Innisfil
Neither victim was physically injured
A Brampton man has been arrested after two teenage girls say they were sexually assaulted at a beach in Innisfil.
Officers were called to the beach area at the end of Mapleview Drive on June 20 at around 5:30 p.m. after concerned citizens called with reports of a sexual offence there.
The suspect had fled before officers arrived on the scene.
However, a 28-year-old man turned himself in on Sunday and has been charged with two counts of sexual assault and two of sexual interference. A sexual assault includes any non-consensual contact of a sexual nature.
The victims did not suffer physical injuries.
