Series of break and enters in Angus under investigation: OPP

Two suspects are being sought following a number business break-and-enters on Mill Street in Angus.

Just before 4 a.m. on Tuesday, Ontario Provincial Police were dispatched to a break-and-enter in progress at the Ultramar gas station and Uplift Cannabis store. Police say the suspects fled prior to officers' arrival.

"The preliminary investigation revealed that two unknown suspects, believed to be two males, attended the address and smashed both front doors. The two suspects were then seen by a nearby witness smashing the door of the nail salon Yes Nails, located at 223 Mill Street," police said in a news release.

The OPP canine unit was dispatched to the area, but was unsuccessful in locating the suspects, police added.

Upon further investigation it was determined that the NAPA AUTOPRO, located at 209 Mill Street, had been broken into as well.

Video footage was obtained at the scene, police said.

The suspects are described as:

Suspect 1: Is described as male, wearing a grey hood, black jacket, blue jeans, black Nike shoes, holding a red backpack.

Suspect 2: Is described as a male with a grey hood, olive jacket, holding a backpack.

According to investigators, it's unknown at this time if anything was stolen.

Police are asking residents to review their camera footage or dash cam for any suspicious activity that may be helpful in this investigation between 3:00 a.m.- 5:00 a.m., on Tuesday December31, 2024.
