No, this resident was not dreaming.

South Simcoe Police say a 30-year-old Bradford resident was awakened on Thursday morning by the sound of a bullet travelling overhead as it passed through two windows in the home, narrowly missing the person.

This happened around two o'clock at Colborne Street and the 8th Line.

Police say the bullet was fired from the intersection, but investigators have determined the home and the resident were not the intended targets.

Officers spent Thursday conducting a canvass for witnesses and surveillance footage in the area of the 8th Line and Yonge Street in Bradford. Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed the shooting to contact Detective Sergeant Ben Irwin at Det. Sgt. Ben Irwin at 905-775-3311 or via email.

Police say this incident marks the fifth reported and confirmed illegal discharge of a firearm in the urban area of Bradford in 2022.
