Canada’s Drug Shortages Called “Unprecedented” In Pharmacy-Backed Study
One in Four Canadians Somehow Affected By Shortage
One in four Canadians has in some way been affected by a prescription drug shortage over the last three years.
A study by the Canadian Pharmacists Association says the problem has gotten worse over the years, where the frequency of medication shortages is being called “unprecedented”.
No direct cause cited in the study, but it does suggest factors like manufacturing issues or marketing and distribution could lead to drug shortages.
