Days after celebrating her 114th birthday, Phyllis Ridgway received her first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine on Saturday.

Canada’s oldest known living person was pictured receiving the shot from a nurse that was shared on Twitter by Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto.
Ridgway, who was born on March 10, 1907, told Sunnybrook, “This is the best birthday I’ve ever had.”
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau acknowledged the moment in a tweet, “what a touching moment.”
“And to Phyllis, happy belated birthday! We’re so glad you got to celebrate this way.”
Ontario has administered more than 1.1 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines so far.
