Canada’s Wonderland sets new summer target for opening day

Canada's Wonderland hopes to open early-to-mid summer, with strict safety guidelines.

Due to ongoing provincial stay-at-home orders in Ontario, Canada’s Wonderland has postponed its 2021 opening date.

The park was originally planning to open its gates this Friday, May 14.

Officials at Canada’s Wonderland now say they’re planning for an early to mid-summer opening date.

The Yukon Striker, one of the newest attractions at Canada's Wonderland, now set to reopen this Summer.

The park has already submitted a plan to the Ontario Science Advisory Table that includes mandatory masks, except while on water slides and rides.

“We continue to prepare for a 2021 reopening and look forward to welcoming guests back to Canada’s Wonderland this summer for some long-awaited fun in a safe, outdoor environment,” the park said in a news release.

The park has extended all seasonal passes until Labour Day 2022.
