Celebrating Inclusion, Diversity In 5th Annual Simcoe County Pride Awards

Nominations Now Open In Six Categories

Do you know someone who has gone above and beyond in celebrating diversity or promoting inclusion? Then why not make sure they get recognition?

Nominations are now being accepted for the 5th Annual Simcoe County Pride Awards, recognizing achievements in several categories:

  • Youth of the Year
  • Person of the Year
  • Organization of the Year
  • Business of the Year
  • Community of the Year
  • Lifetime Achievement Award

Fierté Simcoe Pride President Brandon Rhéal Amyot says the process to choose a winner is up to you. “Once the nominees are all together, the week before the awards gala, we actually have a panel of community members select the recpieient via secret ballot. So we encourage community members to join that jury panel.”

Amyot says joining the jury panel is easy. In fact, it’s as easy as nominating someone for an award; the two are on the same page on Simcoe Pride’s website.

Nominations for the award come to a close on July 7th, while the nominees will be announced July 15th. Winners of the awards will be dolled out at the Awards Gala on August 10th.
