Child injured while crossing intersection as a result of a two-vehicle collision in Orillia

There were no other injuries

An 8-year-old child was airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious injuries after being struck while crossing at the intersection of Park Street and Collegiate Drive in Orillia at around 3:15 on Thursday afternoon.

OPP the child was hit as the result of a two-vehicle collision.

There were no other injuries.

An 66-year-old Orillia man has been charged with Impaired Driving.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash cam footage and has not yet spoken with investigators is asked to call the Orillia OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
