Close call for motorist prior to plane crash at Buttonville Airport
Flight instructor and student hurt
A flight instructor and a student suffered minor injuries in the crash of a small plane Tuesday afternoon in a field just north of Buttonville Airport.
This video was taken from the dashcam of a passing vehicle on 16th Avenue.
The plane crashed through a fence at the end of the runway and narrowly missed a car as it flew, just above the roadway, crossing 16th Avenue.
A Transportation Safety Board of Canada official says the instructor was at the controls at the time.
The TSB investigation continues.
