One person is dead after a motorcycle and a car collided on Mapleview Drive West, east of Veteran's Drive in Barrie.
Police were called to the collision around 3:30 Tuesday afternoon.
"Investigators have determined that a motorcycle was travelling eastbound on Mapleview Drive West when it came in contact with a passenger vehicle that was turning left to go westbound on Mapleview Drive West from an establishment located on the southside of the street," police said in a news release.
The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
He has been identified as a 34-year-old from Barrie.
Police said updates about this incident will be provided as the investigation permits.
