Arturs Silovs made an impression in his OHL debut Saturday night.
So much so, the Barrie Colts have signed him up to stick around.
Silovs made 37 saves in a home-opening 6-2 win for the Colts over the London Knights.
The 18-year-old played last season in Latvia and was drafted in the 6th round by the Vancouver Canucks at the 2019 Entry Draft.
Barrie Colts General Manager & Head Scout Jason Ford said, “The Barrie Colts are very happy to welcome Arturs to the family. Arturs is a bona fide pro prospect that is really eager to hone his skills here in North America. We think that he and Jet Greaves together is an extremely solid tandem.”
The Barrie Colts host the Owen Sound Attack Thursday night.
