Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating another theft of copper wire from a commercial property on Stewart Road in Collingwood.

"Unknown suspects gained access to the property by cutting a large hole in the fence, believed to have been used to allow a vehicle to enter the property. Several hundred metres of underground copper wire was stolen.  The value is in excess of $20,000," according to an OPP media release.

Police say this is the third such incident at this location since January, raising concerns that the site was targeted.

Collingwood OPP is asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity, has video footage from the area, or possesses information about this incident to call police at 1-888-310-1122.

To remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit a tip online at www.crimestopperssdm.com.
