County Continues Lakehead Commitment With Million Dollar Cheque
Today's Contribution Part of a 10-year Vow to Support Region's Post Secondary Students
Lakehead University is looking like a million bucks, after a cheque presentation at the Orillia campus.
Officials from the County of Simcoe were on hand to present the million-dollar contribution, another installment in its $10 million commitment to the education centre. This brings the total contribution from the county to Lakehead to $8.5 million.

The County of Simcoe made a pledge in 2009 to improve access to postsecondary education across the region, later committing the funds to Lakehead and others.
