Huronia West OPP are investigating a fatal three-vehicle collision in Springwater Township this morning.
Police, paramedics, and firefighters responded to County Road 93 (Penetanguishene Road) between Highway 400 and Flos Road 4 East at 6:30 a.m.
"Sadly, as a result of the collision, a 46-year-old driver was confirmed deceased on scene by EMS," Mike Osborne, media relations officer, wrote in a release.
"A 25-year-old driver in one of the other involved vehicles was transported to a local hospital as a precaution with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was released at the scene after being assessed by EMS with minor injuries."
The roadway was closed till just before 4 p.m. while OPP conducted their initial probe, and say the investigation is ongoing.
