"Daughters of Indie" store in Bracebridge targeted by shoplifters

Police say suspects made off with vintage handcrafted items

A new store in Bracebridge had some unwelcome visitors.

OPP say four suspects entered "Daughters of Indie" on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, and used a classic distraction technique to get away with various handcrafted vintage items. Police have released surveillance video in the hope the public can help them identify the parties involved.

If you are a business owner and have also been the victim of a similar crime, police ask that you call your local detachment.

Anyone with information is asked to please call Bracebridge OPP at (888) 310-1122 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. You can submit your information online at www.crimestopperssdm.com if you have any information on this crime or any other crime. Crime Stoppers does not subscribe to call display and you will remain anonymous. Being anonymous, you will not testify in court and your information may lead to a cash reward of up to $2,000.
