Deadly crash in Coldwater knocks out power

Electricity was cut to the area to power lines could be repaired

A man was killed after his vehicle slammed into a hydro pole in Coldwater on Wednesday.

OPP say the crash happened on Vasey Road around 9:30 p.m. and resulted in damage to hydro wires.

Power was cut to the area so that repairs could be made.

A 38-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

The OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team and The Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario are assisting with the investigation.
