A dirtbiker was found to be operating his bike under the influence of alcohol after a neighbourhood patrol by Southern Georgian Bay OPP Saturday in Tiny Township.

At 11:30 p.m., an OPP sergeant was conducting a patrol for suspicious vehicles and persons around the Copeland Creek neighbourhood when they noticed a dirtbike roaring around the area.

The officer stopped the vehicle on Timberland Court after noticing it was being operated without lights or licence plates on the roadway. They eventually entered an impaired operation investigation upon speaking to the rider.

Subsequently, the 21-year-old man from Midland was charged with impaired driving and a number of Provincial Offences Act violations.

The man will appear in court in mid-September amid a 90-day licence suspension. His bike was also impounded for seven days.
