Dress For Success ‘Women Helping Women’ Breakfast Changes To Online Event

Any donations are appreciated

Dress For Success Orillia and Barrie’s programs and services are being heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and they are looking to the people of Barrie to lend a helping hand. at this difficult time.

The 6th Annual Women Helping Women Breakfast scheduled for April has turned into an online event of sorts. Dress For Success Orillia and Barrie relies on public event fundraising. Since they have had to shut down their front-line services, they are using virtual delivery to help women who have lost their employment due to the coronavirus outbreak. Many of these women have experienced trauma and had used the services from Dress For Success to get jobs, but since the worldwide crisis several have now lost them.

Dress For Success is looking for your help now so that they can be of assistance later to women in our community. Your donation will help Dress For Success be able to work with the many community partners and private employment agencies that refer women to them, to support the recovery of the economy and the full inclusion of all women.

They’re looking to raise $5000 by April 1. They already have a donor who will match all donations.

Please consider donating $50, the price of a WHW Breakfast ticket, or more if you are able. You can do this through Canada Helps. All donations will receive a charitable tax receipt.

Let’s help women and their families in Simcoe County. We’re in this together.
