UPDATE: The OPP has issued a correction, stating the truck that rolled was loaded with ice, and not ice cream. This story has been updated.
The driver of a transport truck filled with ice cream is facing charges after a transport truck rolled in Orillia.
The truck was full ice, not ice cream and was cleaned up at the scene. #OrilliaOPP ^mh— OPP Central (@OPP_CR) September 19, 2019
The OPP says it happened on the Highway 11 off-ramp near Sundial Drive, just before 8:30 this morning. Constable Martin Hill with the Orillia OPP says that, while every transport company has different practices, generally when food products, even ice, leave a transport truck due to mishap, the food is thrown away.
