Brampton man's licence suspended for a week

A 23-year-old Brampton man is facing traffic charges after police say a vehicle was clocked at over 200 kilometres an hour in a 40km/h zone through Cookstown.

The radar gun read 205km on Thursday afternoon, leading to the traffic stop of a 23-year-old man. He now faces a charge each of Speeding and Stunt Driving.

The latter comes with an automatic one-week licence suspension, and his vehicle was impounded for seven days as well.
