Driver clocked 77 km/h over the speed limit charged with impaired

The driver was nabbed on County Road 124

A motorist that Huronia West OPP say was clocked travelling 77 kilometres per hour over the speed limit on County Road 124 near Duntroon is facing impaired driving charges.

Police say the driver was stopped shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Thursday when their radar registered an oncoming vehicle at a speed of 157 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. The 25-year-old man from Singhampton was taken to the Huronia West detachment for further investigation.

The accused was released and is set to appear on Sept. 27, 2022, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood.
