A car plowed into the front room of a home in Barrie on Sunday morning.
Shortly after 3:30, police say a vehicle failed to negotiate a curve and left the road striking a residence on Penetang Street.
According to police, there was a person at home, but they were not injured.
Officers say the lone occupant of the car showed signs of impairment and was arrested at the scene and then taken to the police station where a breathalyzer technician assisted with the investigation.
As a result, a 21-year-old Barrie woman was charged with impaired driving.
The car, which sustained significant front-end damage, was impounded for seven days and the woman's driver's licence was suspended for 90 days.
She has a court date on March 27.
