Drug-impaired driving charges laid against Barrie man following numerous calls to police

Dangerous driving charge also laid

A Barrie man is facing a few charges after police say he was behind the wheel of a vehicle that prompted plenty of complaints from the public.

At about 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 16, South Simcoe Police began getting numerous calls regarding an erratic driver on Highway 400. The vehicle reportedly exited the highway at Innisfil Beach Road. Officers tracked it down and arrested the driver.

A 33-year-old man is facing charges of driving while impaired by drugs and dangerous driving. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven.
