A concerned citizen alerted Barrie police on Monday afternoon about a person in a residential neighbourhood north of Bayview Drive and Little Avenue who was not dressed for the weather and had been standing outside a home in the elements for an extended period of time.

Officers located the 36-year-old man and discovered he was wanted on an outstanding warrant by a nearby police service. Police say officers also discovered a quantity of suspected methamphetamine while taking him into custody.

The accused was taken to police headquarters and charged with a drug offence and processed on the outstanding warrant.

He was released from custody with a court date in March.
