Drug and weapons charges were laid by Southern Georgian Bay OPP against two men from the Greater Toronto Area.
OPP say officers conducted a traffic stop on Boblyn Road in Tiny Township on Wednesday afternoon and seized a number of drugs and a handgun.
This started when police attended a home while investigating a separate call for service, and on arrival, a vehicle left the property. The car was pulled over by an officer, and during a conversation with the driver, noticed evidence of drug use and discovered the motorist had a suspended driver’s licence. During a search of the vehicle, police say they found a large bag of cannabis and substances believed to be oxycodone and cocaine, as well as a loaded handgun with ammunition.
A 26-year-old man from Mississauga and a 30-year-old man from Brampton have been charged.
The younger suspect also faces two counts of failure to comply with a court order.
