Dump truck collides with ambulance in Bradford

Minor injuries to paramedics and truck driver

A County of Simcoe paramedics ambulance ended up being knocked off the road by a dump truck in Bradford this morning, when the driver tried to move over for the emergency vehicle, which had its lights activated, and ended up losing control.

South Simcoe Police say it happened around 8:30 this morning on Yonge Street at Line 9.

Police say the northbound truck crossed the centre line, spun around and struck the back of the southbound ambulance.

Despite considerable damage to both vehicles, the two paramedics in the ambulance and the truck driver were not injured. Road conditions are believed to have been a factor in the collision.

This was one of about a dozen, weather-related collisions South Simcoe Police responded to Monday morning.
