South Simcoe Police say a 41-year-old Barrie man died of injuries after he fell from an e-scooter onto the road and was struck by a northbound motorcycle in Innisfil.
Officers were called to Sideroad 5 near Line 9 north of Innisfil Beach Road around 5 p.m. on Sunday.
"Emergency services attended the scene to treat the scooter operator and ultimately transported him to hospital in Barrie, where he succumbed to his injuries," according to investigators.
Police say the 82-year-old motorcyclist from Barrie remained at the scene.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have seen the scooter before the collision, or who witnessed the crash to contact the investigating officer at 705-436-2141 or 905-775-3311.
