Ellen DeGeneres announces she has tested positive for COVID-19
Production on her show has been shut down until January
Popular talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres announced on Thursday that she has COVID-19. DeGeneres shared the news on twitter, saying she “feels fine right now” and is following all CDC guidelines.

“The Ellen DeGeneres Show” has been back in production since September, with COVID protocols in place. In the last two weeks, in-studio guests on Ellen have included Justin Bieber, Lil Nas X, Diane Keaton, Bryan Cranston and Leslie Odom Jr. In-studio guests have been seated distantly from DeGeneres. Along with the crew and staff, the show has also allowed a small number of in-studio audience members since late October. The show’s production company confirmed that production on The Ellen DeGeneres Show has been shut down until January.
