A single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle Sunday afternoon left one man dead in Muskoka Lakes according to OPP.

Just after 1 p.m., Bracebridge OPP and Muskoka Paramedic Services responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Windermere Road, just south of Dee Bank Road.

Eventually, a 45-year-old man from Brampton, the lone rider of the motorcycle, was pronounced dead after being taken to hospital.

The OPP's investigation is ongoing with assistance from members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team.

Windermere Road was closed for several hours for the on-scene investigation, but has since been re-opened.

Anyone with more information on the incident or dashcam footage is asked to contact OPP.
