Fire damages Pita Pit, two apartments in downtown Barrie
An early morning fire on Dunlop Street West sent two people to hospital.
Barrie Fire Crews were called at 5:34 a.m. to an apartment fire above the Pita Pit.

There is damage to two apartments, as well as the restaurant.
Deputy Fire Chief Carrie Clark told Barrie 360 one of the injured has been released from the hospital, the other is being treated for burns.
Dollar damage and the cause of the fire have yet to be determined.
Barrie Fire investigators, the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office and Barrie Police are investigating.
The fire is not considered suspicious at this time.
Dunlop Street between Maple and Bayfield was expected to be closed until this evening.
