UPDATE: Three From the GTA Charged After Ramara Distraction Theft

Three people have been arrested in connection to a distraction theft in Ramara earlier this month.

Investigation lead to a search warrant being written up for a Toronto home. OPP, along with Border Services, the Mounties, and York Regional Police, searched the home on Tuesday, while three men were taken into custody.

Two suspects, aged 23 and 27, were held behind bars for a bail hearing next month, while a third is underage and will be in youth court before long.

Police are looking for the perps behind the distraction theft of a home business.

Investigators say seven people went into a business in Ramara around 6:30 Thursday evening, and while the bulk of this group distracted the store staff, others sneaked into the residential area of the facility.

Seven Suspects Wanted in Connection to a Nov. 1st Distraction Theft

Among the items stolen was a firearm. A substantial amount of cash was said to have been taken in the theft, along with some jewelry.

The suspects were driving a newer model Dodge Caravan with no front plate.

Police Say Some of The Group Distracted The Clerk While Others Entered A Residential Area of The Business

The suspects are described as:

• Suspect #1 Female, Hijab/black hood covering her face and full lengthen dress. Arabic descent, medium to thin build, all dressed in black.
• Suspect #2 male was a brown male, dark short hair, green jacket, dark pants, black shoes, white laces, medium build, late 20’s/early 30’s.
• Suspect #3 male was wearing a black ball cap, sports jacket, white shirt, dark pants, black shoes, white soles, also Arabic and Middle Eastern. He also had a beard and brown/black hair, mid 20’s/early 30’s.
• Suspect #4 was a whitish/brown Arabic male, dark facial hair, beard, moustache, rain jacket material, jacket black with shoulder padding, white ball cap, black pants, black shoes, mid late 20’s/early 30’s, medium build.
• Suspect #5 female, Arabic/Middle Eastern descent, long black straight hair, mid 20’s, thin build, wearing a grey/beige sweatshirt, athletic wear tights, a three quarter length white Nike shoes, light pink shoulder purse and large shoulder bag.
• Suspect #6 female, Arabic, early 20’s, long black frizzy hair loosely tied, wearing a blue jacket, black tights, long grey cotton shirt, white shoes, medium build.
• Suspect #7 female, heavy set, mid 30’s with long hair, flower top, jeans and black stripped wedge heeled sandals, Arabic female, white complexion
