Five cases of COVID-19 added to Simcoe Muskoka caseload over the weekend

Three from Midland, one each from Tiny and Barrie

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is reporting five new cases of COVID-19 were added to its caseload since Friday’s update.

Among the cases are three people from Midland, as well as one from Tiny Township. A case within Barrie rounds out the list. There were also 13 recoveries reported.

There were 121 new COVID-19 tests per 10,000 people in Simcoe County in over the most recent week. The Health Unit reports 114 tests per 10,000 in Muskoka District over the same period. In comparison, the provincial testing rate was 123.5 tests per 10,000 Ontarians.
