Five people taken to hospital following crash in Oro-Medonte

One person was airlifted to a Toronto hospital

A crash south of Orillia around 3:30 on Saturday afternoon resulted in five people being transported to hospital.

Orillia OPP say the collision happened on Old Barrie Road at 7th Line North in Oro-Medonte.

The driver and passenger from one vehicle were transported to hospital with minor injuries and a second passenger in the vehicle was airlifted to Toronto with serious injuries.

The driver and passenger of the second vehicle were transported to hospital with minor injuries.

The road was closed for six hours as police investigated.
