Five new cases of COVID added to local caseload over the long weekend

Barrie saw its first case in over a week

The City of Barrie saw its first case of COVID in over a week on Tuesday, as the local health unit confirmed five new cases across the region.

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit announced one case each in Barrie, Bradford, New Tecumseth, Oro-Medonte, and Ramara on Tuesday. The last time a case was confirmed in Barrie was on July 23.

This comes as the province confirmed fewer than 100 caseload additions for both Monday and Tuesday.
